Black Academic Voices“ The South African Experience, HSRC Press, 2019. (HSS Awards 2020 Non-Fiction Best Edited Volume Winner). The book captures the personal accounts of lived experiences of black academics at South African universities in the context of the ongoing debate for transformation and decolonization of higher education.

Voices of Liberation Series: Wangari Maathai's Registers of Freedom is a book celebrating the life of Kenyan scholar, writer, environmentalist and human rights activist Wangari Maathai. It was penned by Prof Grace Musila. The Voices of Liberation Series is a collaboration between NIHSS and HSRC Press. This project celebrates the lives and writings of African liberation activists“ heroes and heroines.

Dr Nduka Mntambo

Dr Nduka Mntambo showcased his large-scale exhibition titled: Asymmetries at The Point of Order Project Space in Johannesburg and Michaelis Galleries in Cape Town. "Asymmetries" Exhibition won the HSS Awards 2020, Best Visual Art category.
