Imbiza journal is a platform that publishes creative writing, academic writing and intellectual engagement for African thinkers, cultural workers and activists. It is a unique platform that combines imaginative and scholarly writing to cater for diverse audiences. The first edition of Imbiza Journal was published in May 2021.

Centre for Humanities Research at the University of the Western Cape (CHR) in partnership with Net vir Pret celebrated 10 years of puppetry in Barrydale. Themed Reboot Eden Celebrating Ten Years of Puppetry in Barrydale, the performance happened on 16-19 December 2020. 


This is a digital recording of the trauma documented by Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela, Friederike Bubenzer and Marietjie Oelefsen based on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) proceedings. The digital version in a culmination of the book titled: These are the things that sit with us edited by Gobodo-Madikizela. The book shed the light of the lived experiences that shaped the lives of ordinary South Africans during this country’s brutal and painful past.
